Stop Yelling At Me!

alleyoop pornstar 360 dirt ride out

Earvin Pamintuan stale 180 wall bonk

After the first spot, we took a visit to the local high school.  While Earvin was getting this ninja wall kick, a teacher passed advising that we be careful.  When she said it, she sounded like any mother would when they saw their child about to attempt something dangerous, and recommended that we didn't film the situation.

Taking her comment lightly, Earvin got this clip.

At the top of this teacher's lungs, she screams at us, "Do you have any respect? What did I just tell you right now? I told you to not do that!"

I rolled towards her, palms facing the floor, arms extended, as if I was trying to calmly approach a dog that was already snarling at me.

"Okay what I heard was 'be careful' and 'don't film that', while you were walking away from us."  I then began to talk to her with my back facing her, trying to demonstrate how ineffective it is to communicate in this manner.   "This really doesn't work does it?" I finished.

"Well I told you not to do that" The teacher hollered.

"It's not that big of a deal. Can you please talk to us like adults instead of yelling at us?  Isn't this something you teach to your kids?" I began to raise my voice.

Looking at her to agree to disagree that we misheard each other and allow us to move on with our lives, she continued to yell impolitely, "Don't you think its disrespectful to mark the walls like that?

"I know this might be hard to swallow, but, what I do here is my art and Yes! I would do this at my house."  I spoke loud enough for her to hear.

"I don't care if you would do this at your own home.  You're destroying the school!  I know many graffitti artists that would look at this wall and would not consider this art".

Her anger was not making her any smarter.

"I'm not trying to be like Banksy!"

She interrupted "and I know Banksy!" she pointed a finger to the sky.

"Yeah it's a mark but, it's a minor one."  I continued  "We're not The Hulk though.  We're not going to break through the concrete wall.  It's still functional. And!  Us being here, doing this, has no effect on what you do.  Your students are not going to learn algebra because of the marks on the wall."

I brought my hands up towards my face acting as dramatic as I can to show how ridiculous this woman was sounding.  "OH NO! I won't be able to learn because of these marks on the wall"

"I find you interesting" She admitted with her angry tone making it questionable if it was a compliment or not.

I lowered my voice,  "If you wanted us to leave, then that's all you had to say.  Talk to me like an adult and I'll treat you like one".

"Can you please leave"

We rolled away....

in victory.
